4. Payment Terms

By accepting a quote from Adelaide Property Wash, you agree to pay the full quoted amount under the terms outlined in that quote.

Unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing, full payment is due on the day the service is completed. We accept payment by direct bank transfer or in cash.

Invoices are typically issued on the date of service. Payment is required within 14 calendar days of the invoice date. If payment is not received by the due date, a flat $50 late fee will be applied.

Unpaid accounts beyond this period may incur further charges and will be referred for recovery, which may include debt collection and legal action. Adelaide Property Wash reserves the right to recover any reasonable costs incurred in pursuing unpaid balances.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or change a confirmed booking, please notify Adelaide Property Wash by SMS or email at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may attract a call-out charge, depending on the circumstances.

Where work cannot be completed due to access restrictions, safety concerns, lack of water, or other site-related issues beyond our control, we reserve the right to invoice either:

• • A standard call-out fee, or
• • Our hourly rate for time spent on site,
  whichever amount is higher.

6. Product Use & Guarantees

We work with professional-grade cleaning agents and equipment suited to exterior surface treatment. Guarantees on specific products are limited to the original manufacturer or supplier’s terms.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, Adelaide Property Wash does not provide additional warranties on cleaning results or chemical effectiveness.

If you have any concerns regarding a product or service outcome, please reach out to us promptly so we can investigate and assist.

7. Quotes, Additional Work & Service Estimates

All quotes are provided as good-faith estimates and do not become binding until formally accepted by Adelaide Property Wash.

We reserve the right to revise or withdraw a quote prior to acceptance.

Quoted timeframes are approximate and may shift based on weather conditions, equipment availability, or on-site challenges. If additional work is requested during the visit and time allows, we may carry it out at our discretion and will provide a separate quote for the added tasks.

Payment for the originally agreed scope must not be withheld if extra work cannot be completed on the same visit.

8. Workmanship, Liability & Surface Conditions

We pride ourselves on professional results, but clients accept that some level of risk is involved in exterior cleaning — particularly pressure and soft washing.

Adelaide Property Wash is not liable for:

• • Minor cosmetic wear or surface damage that arises during cleaning, especially where materials are aged, improperly installed, or deteriorated
• • Any pre-existing issues that become apparent only after dirt, debris, or biological growths are removed
• • Outcomes related to surfaces or fixtures that are not properly maintained, sealed, or structurally sound

We aim to take reasonable precautions, communicate concerns in advance, and apply appropriate cleaning methods for each job.

9. Scheduling & Weather Delays

All scheduled work is subject to weather conditions. In the event of rain, strong wind, or other factors that may affect safety or job quality, Adelaide Property Wash may need to postpone your appointment.

We aim to provide as much notice as possible and reschedule your booking at the earliest suitable time. While we strive to keep appointments on track, some delay is occasionally unavoidable and beyond our control.

10. Site Conditions & Responsibility for Damage

We take care on every job, but Adelaide Property Wash is not responsible for damage caused by:

• • Loose or damaged roof tiles, ridge caps, flashings, or render
• • Poorly sealed windows, doors, or vents
• • Defective or exposed electrical systems, cabling, or plumbing
• • Pre-existing rot, rust, corrosion, or unstable materials

Please note that some surfaces may lighten or discolour during cleaning, especially if aged, oxidised, or previously damaged. This includes painted areas, powder-coated finishes, timber, and soft metals like aluminium or zinc.

Clients are responsible for protecting or removing sensitive electronics, exposed power points, or water-sensitive items from the work area before cleaning begins.

11. Property Weatherproofing

Before any cleaning work takes place, the property must be secure and weather-ready. This includes:

• • Doors, windows, and vents properly sealed
• • Exterior electrical points and fixtures weather-protected
• • Structural areas in a safe and sound condition

Adelaide Property Wash will not be held liable for water entering the property due to faulty construction, worn seals, or building maintenance issues.

We also cannot guarantee complete removal of certain stubborn organic growths — such as artillery fungus, deep-set lichen, or mould rooted in porous substrates like sandstone or concrete.

12. Timber & Surface Colour Variation

Natural materials such as wood may react differently to soft washing or staining based on:

• • Species, grain, or density of the timber
• • Age or weather exposure
• • Existing blemishes, stains, or patchiness

While we aim for an even result, some variation is expected and not considered a defect. Soft washing may also reveal underlying inconsistencies once surface grime is removed.

13. Concrete and Surface Appearance

Cleaning may expose pre-existing imperfections in concrete or paving that were previously concealed by dirt, moss, or other organic matter. These may include cracks, uneven textures, or colour variations between slabs.

Clients acknowledge that each concrete slab is unique and that Adelaide Property Wash cannot be held responsible for any visual inconsistencies or flaws revealed following cleaning.

14. Work Conditions and Expected Results

Our cleaning methods and products are designed to effectively remove dirt, grime, and organic buildup. However, certain stains—such as rust, mineral deposits, tree sap, or deeply ingrained mould—may fade but not fully disappear.

If you request cleaning without chemicals, please understand that results may be limited. We do not accept liability for surface marks, etching, or colour changes caused by increased water pressure or reduced chemical use.

We aim for excellent outcomes and client satisfaction. Should you have concerns about the results, we encourage you to discuss these with us so we can find a suitable resolution.

15. Roof Cleaning

Adelaide Property Wash complies with all relevant Australian Worksafe health and safety regulations when performing roof work. We will stop work immediately if conditions become unsafe.

In such cases, charges will be prorated based on work completed, but a minimum fee of $200.00 will apply.

While we take every precaution, painted roofs may experience peeling or chipping during cleaning, especially when rotary tools are used. We disclaim any liability for cosmetic changes to painted roofing.

If roof tiles or shingles are damaged during cleaning, we will inform you and, when possible, undertake repairs provided matching materials are available on-site.

16. Property Preparation and Access

All clothes must be removed from clotheslines prior to cleaning. Delicate or valuable items should be covered or relocated, and plants protected or moved as needed.

Ensure all windows are closed and secure. Please notify our team of any special concerns before or at the time of arrival.

Vehicles and outdoor furniture must be moved out of the work area to allow safe access. Adelaide Property Wash staff can assist with relocating items if requested.

Pets must be confined away from the work zone at all times for safety.

17. Paint Removal and Gutter Cleaning

If excessive paint flaking or runoff occurs affecting your property or neighbours’, we may pause work. Should you wish for us to continue, any additional cleanup will be charged at our standard hourly rate.

Please note that gutter cleaning does not include removal of debris inside gutters or any material washed into gutters during roof cleaning.

18. Safety of Staff, Visitors, and Public

Adelaide Property Wash is not liable for any injuries sustained by persons entering the worksite.

Barriers may be placed to restrict access to the work zone. We disclaim responsibility for accidents or incidents resulting from people disregarding these safety measures.

19. Neighbouring Properties

It is your responsibility to inform neighbours about any cleaning work that may affect them. This includes advising them to close windows, remove laundry from lines, and relocate outdoor furniture.

Adelaide Property Wash accepts no liability for damage caused to neighbouring properties or belongings if prior notice has not been given. This also applies to your own items if left unprotected.

20. Hazards to People, Plants, Pets, Furniture, and Vehicles

We prioritise using environmentally friendly and biodegradable products where possible, but some treatments require stronger chemicals, such as sodium hypochlorite.

Please take care to cover plants, keep children and pets away from the work area, and ensure anyone with sensitivities is not present during treatment.

Vehicles and outdoor equipment should be moved to a safe location.

Despite precautions, some surfaces may experience deterioration like rust, paint peeling, or surface spalling after cleaning.

If there are areas or items you wish to exclude from cleaning or chemical exposure, please advise us beforehand.

We are not responsible for damage to items left uncovered or undisclosed. It is the client’s responsibility to protect or relocate plants and valuables. Liability cannot be accepted if these guidelines are not followed.

21. Pressure Cleaning Prior to Painting

A “pre-paint” cleaning service involves high-pressure washing to remove contaminants and loose paint, but is not intended to strip paint completely.

This process may leave visible marks on surfaces. Adelaide Property Wash does not guarantee paint preparation or accept responsibility for repainting following cleaning

22. Completion of Work

We strive to deliver high-quality results. Please inspect the completed work before our team departs. If you are unable to do so, notify us of any concerns within 24 hours so we can address them promptly.

23. Claims and Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, please notify us in writing (email or SMS) within 24 hours of completion. Include photos and details to assist us in assessing the issue.

We reserve the right to revisit and inspect the work within 7 days. Any alterations to the affected area within 30 days without prior written consent from Adelaide Property Wash may forfeit your right to lodge a claim.

24. Social Media and Marketing

By using our services, you grant permission for Adelaide Property Wash to use photos, videos, testimonials, and related media of the work for marketing purposes, unless you notify us otherwise before the job is completed.

No financial compensation will be provided for such use.

25. Third-Party Contracting

When services are engaged by a third party (e.g., real estate agent, builder, property manager) on behalf of an owner or tenant, that third party is considered the client and bound by these terms.

All communications and payments will be directed through the third party, who is responsible for notifying the relevant property stakeholders.

26. Disclaimer
